Dedicated to spreading the love of dance, we aim to inspire and uplift through movement. At The Dance Pulse, we are more than just a studio; we are a community that dances together. We are a safe and inclusive space and welcome all to connect, move and flow freely with us.

Our Classes

We offer a diverse range of classes, including Contemporary, KPOP, Lyrical, Modern Jazz, Salsa, and Zumba, available in both private and group settings. In addition to our regular classes, we also provide introductory courses, CSTD Syllabus Examinations, as well as training and competitions for those looking to take their skills to the next level. Whether you are a seasoned pro or completely new to dance, we welcome you to join us and discover the joy of dance!

Our Studio

Our studio features floor to ceiling glass windows, allowing natural light to energize your movements. We boast a spacious and open layout with state of the art flooring and the studio is well equipped with barre, gymnastics mats, mirrors and more. With a cozy hangout area featuring wifi facilities, hot and cold water dispenser, shelf storage and a mini fridge, we have created a home away from home with your convenience and comfort in mind. Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, our studio is the perfect place to unleash your passion for dance.

We offer the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing Modern Jazz syllabus from Australia. The progressive, examination based syllabus is structured to deliver a technically strong foundation to nurture the next generation of versatile performers. Exercises consisting of leaps, jumps, turns and choreography aims to improve coordination, technique, spatial awareness, musicality and sense of performance. Eligible students will sit for annual examinations and gain a dance qualification recognised worldwide as well as participate in dance competitions. First free trial.

Meet our founder and principal instructor, Ms Vivian

Vivian started her dance journey at the age of 5 and has over 37 years of dance training and 18 years of dance teaching under her belt. She founded The Dance Pulse to foster unity among the dance community and to share her wealth of knowledge and passion to nurture the next generation. She is trained in Classical Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Street Jazz, Hip Hop, Heels, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Salsa and others in pursuit of her passion for dance.

Vivian completed her ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, UK) Modern Theatre Advanced 2 as well as her Jazz Gold examination, passing with Honours. She subsequently completed her CSTD (Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing, Australia) Modern Jazz Grade 8 and is now an associate member teaching the dance body’s syllabus. She was also an elite national level rhythmic gymnast in her schooling years and went on to coach the sport as well. Fun fact, she was a top 20 contestant on So You Think You Can Dance Malaysia Season 2 and was selected to represent Malaysia at the World Championship of Performing Arts in 2007.

Vivian has performed and choreographed for numerous commercial shows working with notable clients as well as featured in TV commercials, music videos, full length dance productions and musical theatre.

Awarded Best Dance Instructor in 2023 as well as Best Dance School in 2022-2024, Vivian is actively teaching, choreographing as well as still competing in which she won 4 gold medals and two Top Scorer Awards this year.

Koyoki is an extremely passionate 48 year old dancer who took to the stage for the first time and we are so incredibly proud of your determination, passion and hard work. You are truly an inspiration and we look forward to seeing more of you in class and on stage.

We welcome everyone here at The Dance Pulse. We even have students well into their 60s who show up consistently and let their love for dance shine through and inspire us all.
